The CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) course provides essential knowledge and practical understanding for anyone responsible for managing temporary works on construction sites.
This 2-day programme is part of the CITB Site Safety Plus suite and is designed to ensure Temporary Works Co-ordinators fully understand their legal duties, risk management responsibilities, and industry best practice.

Pre-Requisites

To attend the Temporary Works Co-ordinator course, candidates must:

  • Have experience managing or supervising temporary works on site
  • Possess a good understanding of spoken and written English

It is strongly recommended that delegates have access to BS5975 – Code of Practice for Temporary Works to assist with study and assessment preparation.

  • Site managers, agents, and engineers responsible for temporary works coordination
  • Those appointed as or aspiring to become a Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC)

Delegates must attend both days and pass the assessment to successfully complete the course.

Certification

Upon successful completion, candidates receive a CITB Site Safety Plus Temporary Works Co-ordinator certificate, valid for 5 years. To maintain certification, delegates must renew before the expiry date by attending the Temporary Works Co-ordinator Refresher course.
