Delivered in Portadown, Dublin, or on-site across Northern Ireland, this one-day course combines classroom instruction with hands-on training in chemical hazard management and emergency response.

- Members of company Emergency Response Teams (ERTs)
- Safety officers or supervisors responsible for chemical spill management
- Workers handling hazardous chemicals or materials

- Anyone who has completed the 3-Day Basic ERT Entry Course
Prerequisites
Delegates must:
- Be aged 18 or over
- Be medically fit under current industry requirements
- Have completed the Emergency Response Team (ERT) Basic Training
Course Aim
The aim of this course is to provide delegates with a practical and theoretical understanding of how to identify, manage, and control chemical hazards.
It covers safe working procedures, fire prevention, chemical control, and emergency response techniques for chemical incidents.

PPE Requirements
Delegates must bring the following:
- Safety boots, helmet, gloves, hi-vis coat or vest
- Full fire protective clothing (fire suit, gloves, boots, helmet)
- Chemical and Bio-hazard suits
- Personal facemasks and breathing apparatus (preferred but can be supplied)
