Course Aim

To train delegates in the core fundamentals of Incident Control and Command within emergency response scenarios. The course develops leadership confidence, communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions during live incidents.

Learning Objectives 

By the end of the ERT Command Training Course, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of Incident Control and Command
  • Manage operational incidents safely and effectively
  • Apply clear communication and coordination during emergencies

  • Implement the Span of Control for efficient incident management

Training Methods

Required PPE

Delegates should bring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:

  • Safety boots, gloves, helmet, and hi-vis vest
  • For fire elements: full fire suit, gloves, boots/wellies, and helmet

Note: Personal facemasks and breathing apparatus can be provided if required.
