Who Should Attend?
This Emergency Response Team Incident Control & Command Training course is ideal for those responsible for managing or supporting emergency incidents as part of an on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT).
Delegates will gain essential leadership, communication, and coordination skills needed to handle real-world emergencies safely and efficiently.
Prerequisites
Delegates must:
- Be 18 years or older and medically fit in line with current industry requirements.
- Have previously completed the Basic ERT Training Course and either ERT Live Burns Training or ERT Chemical Response Training before attending this advanced course.
Course Aim
To train delegates in the core fundamentals of Incident Control and Command within emergency response scenarios. The course develops leadership confidence, communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions during live incidents.

By the end of the ERT Command Training Course, delegates will be able to:
- Understand the principles of Incident Control and Command
- Manage operational incidents safely and effectively
- Apply clear communication and coordination during emergencies

Required PPE
Delegates should bring appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:
- Safety boots, gloves, helmet, and hi-vis vest
- For fire elements: full fire suit, gloves, boots/wellies, and helmet
Note: Personal facemasks and breathing apparatus can be provided if required.
