- Course Aim
To equip delegates with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to safely and efficiently rescue casualties from open excavations using current rescue equipment and techniques.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to:
- Understand legislation and employer/employee responsibilities relating to excavation safety.
- Implement effective excavation rescue plans.
- Inspect and correctly use safety harnesses.
- Identify and operate davit arm systems and other rescue equipment.
- Perform practical rescue exercises using fold/roll-up stretchers, harnesses, and davit arm systems.
