Course Aim
The aim of this course is to provide candidates with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate woodworking power tools. The training focuses on hazard awareness, correct tool selection, inspection procedures, safe operating techniques, and the correct use of personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.

- Identify hazards associated with woodworking power tools

- Understand safe isolation and shutdown procedures

Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive an ITS Certificate of Attendance, valid for 3 years.
Requirements for Power Tools
All tools and equipment used during training must meet the following requirements:
- Clean and serviced well
- All parts must be correct and not altered or damaged
- Service tools (such as spanners etc.) must be supplied
- The machine must be PAT tested
- Blade must be fitted or supplied
- Suitable material for cutting must be supplied for candidates to use
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Full PPE is required for this course:
- Hard hat
- Hi-vis clothing
- Safety boots
- Gloves
- Eye protection
