The System Scaffold Erection, Inspection & Dismantle Training course is designed to provide personnel with the practical skills and knowledge required to safely erect, inspect, and dismantle basic and complex proprietary scaffold systems. Delivered over two days, this course ensures candidates understand their legal responsibilities and can work safely in line with current working at height legislation.

Pre-Requisites
All candidates attending the course must bring suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
- Safety helmet
- Protective boots
- Gloves
- High-visibility jacket or vest
Course Aim
By the end of the course, candidates will have a working knowledge of the safe erection, inspection, and dismantling of basic and complex scaffolds using proprietary scaffold systems, ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry best practice.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- The Work at Height Regulations 2005
- Other relevant current health and safety legislation
- Proprietary scaffold components and their uses
- Pre-use inspection checks on scaffold components
- Correct scaffold measurements and configurations
- Use and installation of wall ties and window ties
- Safe methods of planking out scaffolds
- Safe use of ladders in scaffold access
- Correct procedures for dismantling scaffolding
- Inspection requirements for erected scaffolds
- Identification of different proprietary scaffold systems and components
Training & Assessment Method
- Classroom-based tutorials covering legislation, theory, and best practice
- Practical demonstrations and hands-on scaffold erection, inspection, and dismantling exercises
- Candidates must successfully complete both a theory assessment and a practical assessment
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will receive an ITS Certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
